Editorial Policies
1. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Public Goods and Governance is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. The journal follows the principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authorship and Responsibilities: Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is their entirely original work. If the authors have used the work and/or words of others, this must be appropriately cited or quoted. Submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
Plagiarism Policy: The editorial board strictly prohibits plagiarism, self-plagiarism (text-recycling), data fabrication, and redundant publication. All submitted manuscripts are screened for originality. If plagiarism or academic misconduct is detected at any stage of the editorial process, the manuscript will be rejected immediately.
2. Conflict of Interest
All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could be perceived as inappropriately influencing or biasing their work.
Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest upon submission.
Reviewers and Editors must recuse themselves from the evaluation of any manuscript if they have a conflict of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors or institutions connected to the papers.
3. Open Access and Article Processing Charges (APC)
This is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal. All articles are fully and immediately available to read, download, and share upon publication under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Public Goods and Governance does not charge authors any Article Processing Charges (APCs), submission fees, or publication fees. The journal is fully open access for both readers and authors (Diamond Open Access).
4. Archiving and Repository Policy
To ensure the long-term preservation of scholarly research, all published articles and volumes are digitally archived and made permanently accessible in the journal’s official archives and the institutional repository of the publisher. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their published articles in institutional repositories or on personal websites (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu) with a link to the original DOI or journal URL.
